Funny Saturday Night

Tina, Lauren and I decided to hit the town in Hiroshima on Saturday night and check out the night life. Well after about an hour of walking around not knowing where to go, we stumbled across a group of friendly strangers who suggested we go to Barcos. With a little hesitation, we entered the club and we liked it so much that we decided to stay there for the night because they played really good dancing music. Despite the fact that there was a sign on the dance floor saying “No dancing please”! Who knows what that was all about, but we ignored the sign and broke the rules!hehe

It is funny going out in Japan because there are so many people who wear their sunglasses in the nightclubs. This never happens in Australia, so it came as a bit of a shock to us when we first saw it here. Even still, I thought I would join in the action so I got a pair of sunnies off of the nearest person and posed for the camera, just to show that I was joining in the act!!!

For the rest of the night, Tina, Lauren and I danced on the dance floor. It was quite funny watching Tina’s strange dancing style. She got excited when she spotted a pole on the stage, so she thought she might have a go at pole dancing. She got a few looks, but only did it for a split second, so it was just as well I had my camera out for evidence!

Lauren’s dancing style was also one to be amused by. This is her favourite dance move that she does without fail at every dance club – or even if she is walking down the street!!

All in all, it was a great night. We met some pretty funny characters along the way, too. We met some African American guys who had the best accents – just like you would hear out of an American movie! I have never heard it in real life before though until now. We also met some funny Japanese guys who had decided to go out after work. They seemed a little worse for wear, so it was funny just to have a laugh with them. By that stage, we were so tired that we had to go home as we were going to have a big day the next day in Miyajima.
