Mt Fuji with Mum and Dad

After the hair show, I had to quickly take off and catch the shinkansen (bullet train) to meet up with Mum, Dad and Tina in Tokyo. The next day, we went to Mt Fuji. We decided not to climb the mountain because it was a bit tough and we didn’t have the right clothing for it. Instead, we caught a bus up to the fifth station (about half way up the mountain) and got a good view of it from there. We took so many photos of the mountain and some of them looked like we were actually in the clouds. I felt like a care bear!!!

We climbed just past the sixth station and could notice the difference in the temperature change dramatically! We were in our summer clothes – shorts and t-shirt – and it was all cloudy and cold when we got to the sixth station. It made me feel really excited that I was planning to climb the mountain at a later date. Tina didn’t want to climb it initially, but once she got to the sixth station, she wanted to keep going! We both decided at that stage that we were going to climb all the way to the top together at some stage!

This is Tina and I with the spectacular view of Mt Fuji in the background.

This is Mum and Dad standing in front of the mountain.

One the way back to the base of the mountain, we were in the bus and noticed the most amazing sky – it was fairly cloudy, but the sun was shining so brightly behind them that you could see a golden lining surrounding the edges. It was so beautiful it looked like heaven. This is the picture I took.

I can’t wait to climb Mt Fuji!!!
